Gift Cards manage issue and redeem
Allow for creation of gift voucher number , set value of gift card and sell it as a sale item with expiry date . Then have an entry field to redeem that card number and value during a sale.

SMS Receipt
For when your on an Ipad etc. Customers love getting instant SMS. dead Simple email to SMS solution. ie. you guys just have to enable a simple text receipt and an SMS button so we can email the receipt text to our SMS provider.

Coupons - Accept Coupon Codes
NOT as part of sale data BUT allow a coupon code to entered for a sale and separate from sales reports allow reporting on popular coupons etc that way you can track advertising thats working at the point of sale. A secondary idea .. if there was a dollar value or % off value associated with the coupon allow that to be applied to the sale 3rd but not major consideration .. as an option allow a coupon to be restricted to certain products if there was a value off or dicount being applied ie. discount would only come off… more

Post Codes
Separate from Sale Data allow collection of customer post code ... ie. for Walkin sales which 99% of what we use , allow just a post code to be entered. To cater for overseas customers which we get a lot of , allow postcode OR Country (easy search field for country lookup) and then allow export of postcode data for manipulation or in POS reports on post codes.
